How to Take a Relaxing Bath

Taking a Bath is one of the best stress relieving, Relaxing things that you can easily do for yourself. Here are some suggestions on how to make the most out of your bath to maximize your relaxation.

Here is what you’ll need:

  1. Epsom Salts
  2. Baking Soda
  3. CTPG Lavender or Roman Chamomile Essential Oil (Need some? Find it Here)
  4.  A Bath Tub with Warm Water

Start by filling your bath tub up with warm water, not too hot or it will be uncomfortable, not too cold or you won’t be able to relax.

Next, add about a cup of Baking Soda (which has a ton of natural health benefits), 5 to 10 drops of either Lavender or Roman Chamomile Essential Oils (to aid in relaxation), and Epsom Salts according to your weight (see chart below). The Epsom Salts have minerals in them that aid in soothing sore and tired muscles and have great overall health benefits.

Relaxing Bath

Dissolve the Epsom Salts and Baking Soda completely in the warm bath water, then lock the bathroom door, get naked, and get in the bathtub. Find a comfortable position, take some deep breaths and just RELAX! Spend at least 20 minute, up to 40 minutes soaking in the bathtub.

The first 20 minutes of your bath the Epsom Salts are drawing out the toxins in your body. The next 20 minutes is where the minerals from the Epsom Salts are absorbing in to your body giving you the healing properties that your body needs.

Avoid any distractions while in your bath. Keep your phone in the other room, tell your kids you need some alone time, tell your spouse to leave you alone, just relax by yourself and leave your troubles outside the bathroom.

Taking a relaxing bath with these ingredients is great after a long, hard day at work or post workout, or any other random day.
