DIY Mouth Wash
What You Need:

  • Distilled Water
  • Certified Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils (Found Here)
  • Glass Container (Preferably Amber Colored)

Suggested Oils to Use:

  • Peppermint
  • Cinnamon
  • doTerra’s OnGuard Blend (Found Here)
  • Lemon
  • Wild Orange

Instructions:

You can make a single use batch or up to a 2 cup batch. If preparing a single use batch then any glass cup will do. If making a bigger batch then store the batch in a dark colored (Amber) glass container.  The ratio of Essential Oils to Distilled Water is about 5 drops of Essential Oils to 1 Cup of Distilled Water. Please note that some oils are stronger than others and so it may take less of the oils to be effective. It’s always safer to have a more diluted solution at first and increase as desired.

Simply mixed the Essential Oils and Distilled Water together. Use by gargling the solution and swishing it around in your mouth for 30 seconds then spit it out in to the sink. DO NOT SWALLOW! Refrain from eating or drinking for at least 20 minutes afterward.

If you’ve made a larger batch, make sure you shake the mixture well before using as the oil tends to separate from the water after a while.
