DIY Hand Sanitizer

What you need:

  • 3 Tbsp Aloe Vera Gel
  • 1 Tbsp Vitamin E Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Witch Hazel or Vodka
  • 2 Drops Meleluca (Tea Tree) Oil (Found Here)
  • 2-3 Drops of either Lavender, Thyme, Peppermint, Cinnamon, or Eucalyptus Essential Oil. Or 3 drops of doTerra’s OnGuard Blend (Found Here)

Mix all the ingredients together and put them in to a Squeezable Tube or Glass Container with an airtight lid. It’s that easy!

The above mixture makes more a gel like substance. You can substitute the 3 Tbsp of Aloe Vera Gel with 1 Tbsp of Aloe Vera Gel and 2 Tbsp Distilled Water to make the mixture a spray on version. With the spray on version you can put it in a glass spray bottle to spray on little kids hands.

Make sure that with either the Gel or the Spray version you rub it in to your hands well and let dry just like the store bought stuff.

This works in a couple of different ways, the Essential Oils listed above are antimicrobal while the alcohol in the Witch Hazel or Vodka act as a disinfectant.  The Aloe Vera gel and Vitamin E oil help to moisturize and protect your hands.
